About Me

Jaclyn Cohen is a bookworm extraordinaire and a Bookstagram fanatic. When she’s not reading, Jaclyn is writing about fickle protagonists who enjoy lighting her outlines on fire. She manages to contain her composure through a daily regimen of peppermint tea, poetry, yoga (followed by chocolate chip cookies), and running her own dog bed-and-breakfast, Furtastic Friends and Boarding. This is an added bonus, as her furry houseguests act as co-editors. The tabby cat on the premises has refused to make any comments.

A native Staten Islander who paid her fair share of tolls, Jaclyn moved over the bridge and settled in Monmouth County, New Jersey. She encourages her daughter’s bookworm behavior with weekly mommy-daughter book club meetings and the goal of turning their home into a personal library. The husband prefers not to comment on the household’s book-buying budget.

Don’t Go Over the Bridge is Jaclyn’s first full-length poetry and short story collection. She is currently writing her first novel.
